After her apprenticeship as a saddler with Pierre Meystre, in Romanel-sur-Lausanne, Patricia Rochat Baumann worked for the saddlery A. Spirig, near Saint-Gall. In 2002, with her federal saddler’s degree in hand, she joined EquiNomic, a company specializing in the manufacture of saddles. She opened her own workshop in 2005 in Sugnens, then since 2011 in Boussens in more spacious premises.

Patricia Rochat’s saddlery has two employees and trains an apprentice saddler. It specializes in bespoke saddles, from taking the measurements of the horse and rider to manufacturing the saddle in the workshop. The workshop also manufactures, maintains and restores various types of equestrian equipment and leather goods.
