Born in 1953 in Neuchâtel, Eliane Schneider was trained as an early childhood educator and self-taught as a milliner. She has done many internships at the hat museum in Chazelles sur Lyon and has been creating hats since 1995. She produces her works from 2004 to 2009 in her shop in Neuchâtel and since 2009 in her home workshop.
It is in her home studio that Éliane Schneider creates her works: hats created in fabrics, felt, straw, feathers, recycled materials, as well as men’s hats, bridal hats, show hats, ... as requested.
