A craftsman presents his profession to you from his workshop

To avoid the "white year" which threatens many activities, Métiers d’art Suisse is launching a new form of online mediation.

Craft days are cancelled. Ticino has already announced the postponement in autumn. The other cantons participating in these days have not yet announced their decisions. The inauguration of the Métiers d’art Suisse arcades has been cancelled. On the Platform 10 site in Lausanne, residencies for art craftsmen got off to a brilliant start just before the containment measures. Thanks to Nicolas Regamey, typographer, and Alessandro Longo, intaglio, who valiantly inaugurated the formula. We will resume as soon as possible. The awards ceremony for our winners is postponed until the fall. So many opportunities to raise awareness of these beautiful professions that we have inherited and that we will have to pass on to future generations.

This modest experience carried out remotely with the means available will give you a living image of crafts in Switzerland, these trades constituting a form of antidote to the crisis because local, creative, eco-responsible and on a human scale.
