Hatter / Milliner


The hatter makes hats in a single piece on wooden or aluminum forms, by assembling braids on chain machines, or by assembling pieces of fabric on flat stitchers.

The milliner is a creator of hats and head accessories (city and show). He masters all the techniques of the trade: manufacturing from molds, various supports or freehand.

Become a hatter / milliner

These professions are acquired through the training of a CFC as a clothing designer through an apprenticeship in a company or school in one of the following specific areas: Women's clothing, Men's clothing, Fur clothing, Headwear chefs or Work and protective clothing. Duration 3 years. Improvements are possible.
