Stained glass artist / Master glassmaker

The stained glass artist (master glassmaker) assembles flat leaded glass, colored or not, and sometimes enriched with painted patterns called grisailles. He can also make glass slabs or use fusing methods combining different colored glasses.

Become a stained glass artist or master glassmaker

Art profession training in school which combines the technical, creative and cultural aspects linked to stained glass and glass decoration. Its aim is to acquire means of research and expression as well as the knowledge necessary for practical implementation. The glassmaker-creator carries out his own projects in stained glass and glass. It is able to adapt projects developed by artists who do not work in the field of glass. You have an interest in art, decoration and an activity engaging the mind and the hand; you love the poetry of light and colored shadows; you are looking for a form of independence, our school is a possible training path.

Training as a creative glassmaker can be done full-time at school or through individual training. Duration 3 years. Course location in Monthey within the stained glass school.
