« Puppets are for me first and foremost moving sculptures. I try to load my characters with emotions to be able to give them a life. »
Born in 1967, Christophe Kiss discovered his passion for puppets at the age of 17 by chance during a show. After training at the Beaux-Arts, he worked for the Théâtre des marionnettes in Geneva, for which he has been building characters since 1993. He collaborates with other theaters and is also a scenographer. In addition, he is a drawing teacher at the Professional Arts Training Center in Geneva.

In his studio, a place where many mysterious characters are stored, Christophe Kiss navigates between wood, polystyrene, foam padding and a multitude of resins to bring his puppets to life, whether string, hand or even rod. For more than 25 years, he has been adapting to the expectations of directors and creating characters and sets from scratch.
