About
After her schooling, Myriam Dubey devoted herself to the profession of dental assistant for a dozen years. At the age of 30, her love of books pushed her to retrain in artisanal bookbinding with Otto Balsiger, a bookbinder in Delémont. Self-employed since 2002, she links archives, notary and lawyer documents and restores old works to their former glory.
In her workshop located on the banks of the Doubs, Myriam Dubey perpetuates a know-how that dates back to the copyist monks of the Middle Ages. With her two presses, her sewing machine and her various tools, she manipulates paper, parchment, leather, brushes and glue to give life to her works, all with the slow and precise gestures required by bookbinding. artisanal.
