Couturier

The art of the couturier consists of interpreting the idea of a garment and then producing it perfectly and to measure. An essential link in the chain of creation of a collection, the couturier carries out and/or supervises the different stages of work necessary between the sketch and the prototype of a piece.

Training as a clothing designer is acquired through an apprenticeship in a company or school, with obtaining a CFC, in one of the following specific areas: Women's clothing, Men's clothing, Fur clothing, Covers -heads or Work and protective clothing. Duration 3 years. Improvements are possible.
