Artistic Craft Days

Archive Bern 2022

01.04 - 03.04.2022

France was the first country to introduce the "Journées Européennes des Métiers d’Art" (JEMA) in 2002 on the initiative of the Ministry of Crafts. In the meantime, the European Days of Arts and Crafts (ETAK) in spring have become established in around 20 countries, analogously to the European Days of Monuments in autumn.

Unfortunately, Corona has made it impossible for us to hold the ETAK in the past two years. We are therefore very happy that around 40 designers have agreed to take part this spring. On three open days, they will give you an insight into their well-founded craftsmanship and their creative and innovative work. The high-quality and diverse handicraft can be experienced up close with numerous guided tours, demonstrations and exhibitions.

Whether you just look over the shoulder of the creative people or grab the tools yourself in workshops - the ETAK offer you a unique opportunity to learn more about the meaning of this rich intangible cultural heritage on site.

We look forward to seeing you - you are most welcome.
